As stated by a report released by National Bureau of Statistics of China, the aluminum sales revenue in 2018 was US$183 billion, a cumulative increase of 12% and the cumulative output was 46 million tons, a cumulative increase of 3%.  

According to China's “13th Five-Year Plan” for the non-ferrous metals industry development, its aluminum consumption will reach 43 million tons by 2020, and the compound annual growth rate will reach 7% during 2016 to 2020. The cumulative production of aluminum in China in 2019 is expected to be 49 million tons, a cumulative increase of about 5%.

The Applications in Different Industries

At present, the building & construction industry takes the largest proportion of aluminum applications in China, mainly by the high consumption of aluminum profiles. Aluminum profiles, the downstream application of aluminum, are easy to process, surface coated or used in combination with other materials. They are widely used in windows and doors, curtain walls, brackets, building interiors, etc. 

The Production Capacity Analysis on Aluminum Profiles in 2018

According to the report of You Cai Big Data, there are more than 900 aluminum profiles manufacturers in China, as of 2018. However, most of them have relatively weak production capacity. The annual production capacity of 72% manufacturers is less than 100,000 tons. Only 1% of them, the leading brands have the annual production capacity of over 500,000 tons.
